Morning show anchor Robin Roberts has had a year that can only be described as courageous. The "Good Morning America" co-host spent the year fighting off the last of a rare blood disorder. Then she revealed she was a lesbian.

On Monday's show, Roberts shared a photo of her longtime love, Amber Laign, for the first time with the world. In a segment of the show where the anchors shared their holiday vacations, Roberts talked about her time off, which was first spent with a trip to Turks and Caicos, then to Ogunquit, Maine. The highlight of her time off she said was a trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for her niece's wedding.

She then shared a family photo of the occasion.

"Next to me is my girlfriend, Amber, and my sister-in-law, Cynthia, and my brother, Butch. And it was a glorious, glorious time that weekend," Roberts said.

Roberts came out publicly for the first time on Dec. 29 in a Facebook message that reflected on her health battles and expressed gratitude for the people who supported her, including Laign.

During the segment, co-host George Stephanopoulos said her relationship status was no secret to her colleagues and hoped her coming out experience was a postive one.

"I have never been happier or healthier than I am right now and my year-end post was just full of gratitude and just telling everyone all that I'm grateful for, including my girlfriend Amber who really loved me through a difficult year," Roberts responded.
