City Councilor John Connolly lost his bid for the next mayor of Boston yesterday to State Representative Marty Walsh in a tight race, and as expected he gave a concession speech after losing.
But afterward, Connolly was in a fighting mood on Twitter, taking to task his son's former hockey coach.
It all started with Connolly responding to unflattering Twitter comments about his defeat.
Tim Sullivan, aka "The_Sull" then stepped into the conversation.
And here is when we find out Sullivan is the hockey coach for Connolly's son.
@The_Sull here's #2. You're my sons hockey coach & you spend all your time beating me up on twitter. That makes you classless and pathetic.— John Connolly (@JohnRConnolly) November 6, 2013
@JohnRConnolly ask any parent on our team, we had fun! Unfortunately, you can't separate politics and your kids' developmental hockey team!— Tim Sullivan ® (@The_Sull) November 6, 2013
@The_Sull you're just making stuff up, don't care who u supported, running 4 mayor 24/7, can't make all games U r so angry & don't know why.— John Connolly (@JohnRConnolly) November 6, 2013
At last check on Wednesday evening, Connolly didn't respond to the final tweet by Sullivan. In addition, the @The_Sull account was been made private, meaning Twitter users could not read messages unless they received permission.
