Former US representative Anthony Weiner remains in New York City mayoral race even after revelations of another sexting scandal, and the embattled candidate's contentious patterns emerged again on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, as he engaged in a shouting match with a Jewish voter.

With his mouth full of food, Weiner chastised a man, who could not immediately be heard on the video, for waiting until Weiner walked out of a bakery in Brooklyn to say something to him. Weiner repeatedly asked "you're my judge?" as the man expressed his feelings toward the candidate. The pair continued talking over each other and Weiner raised his voice.

The man said, "You talk to God, you work out your problems, but stay out of the public eye," as he gestured with his hand and used an even tone.

"I've fought very hard for this community and delivered more than you will ever in your entire life," Weiner said, his voice dominating the conversation.

They eventually parted, and Weiner answered an unheard question, saying, "when I do I don't back down." When prompted with a question about forgiving the man in the context of Rosh Hashanah, Weiner said he would forgive him and wouldn't hold it against him.

Weiner responded to criticism on Twitter.

The candidate has a history of colorful interactions, including one where he argued with a voter over his sexting scandal.

In another interview, he mocked a British reporter.

A poll released Aug. 28 indicated Weiner had 8 percent of likely Democratic voters, ranked behind three other candidates.
