Update: According to Gawker and other outlets, the rousing speech by Georgia Tech's Nicholas Selby that has gone viral was indeed inspired by a 2008 speech given by Andy Stone, his high school speech coach.

The video of Selby's speech quickly went viral, snagging over a million views in the few days after the video was posted.

Selby has acknowledged the similarities in a Facebook post, saying Stone let him use parts of the speech.

Correction: An earlier version of this post implied Nicholas Selby ripped off his speech from a 2008 speech by Andy Stone. Selby has said he borrowed parts of the speech with permission from Stone.
