The University of Connecticut women's basketball team took a trip to the White House on July 31 to receive commendations from President Obama for winning the NCAA championship title in April, defeating Louisville 93-60.

The jovial affair took a turn for the silly when two players, Stefanie Dolson (left) and Kiah Stokes (right), gave the president bunny ears as they posed for photos.

Images from the visit reveal a playful sequence where the president turns around knowing something is amiss and discovers the prank. Later, he puts on a "can-you-believe-these-shenanigans?" face and laughs.

The UConn women have won eight NCAA titles, and President Obama recognized Coach Geno Auriemma with a quip that he "spends more time than some presidents" at the White House. The president also praised the team for being role models on and off the court.
