This incredible video of a sinkhole in Louisiana swallowing whole trees really must be seen to be believed.
According to the Advocate, the Assumption Parish sinkhole pulled the trees under Wednesday evening on the northeastern rim of the sinkhole near the Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou communities. The video was shot by an official on scene, who can be heard in the video. The sinkhole opened last August and has been growing ever since, prompting local evacuations and threatening nearby communities. To help raise the spirits of those affected, evacuee Mona Dugas even penned a theme song for the sinkhole.
