A fire in Allston reached five alarms Sunday morning and spread between two buildings.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire in a three-story wood-frame house at 17 Mansfield St. at approximately 7 a m. Officials said the fire extended to a two-and-a-half-story home next door.
The Boston Fire Department Twitter account reported just before 8 a.m. that heavy fire was knocked down at the scene.
So far there are no reports of any injuries.
Building inspectors are on scene to assess the damage, according to Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald.
