Dunkin' Donuts bringing their mock cronuts global

The "cronut," a hybrid of a donut and croissant, is going global. South Korea's Dunkin' Donuts chain revealed its knock-off "New York Pie Donut," and in the Philippines they call the treat "The Donut Croissant."
Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York introduced its croissant-donut hybrid, which is deep-fried in grapeseed, this spring. The cronuts, which retail for $5 a piece, are so popular that they are sold on the black market for up to $40 apiece.
Now, the cronut has officially gone mainstream. But unfortunately for us, it doesn't look like Dunkin's treat will be available in the US anytime soon.
