The Mexican food chain has begun labeling all the ingredients that contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and has become the first US restaurant chain to include such labels. Chipotle says it prides itself on its "Food with Integrity", and is committed to serving high quality ingredients. But even Chipotle couldn't avoid GMOs.

Chipotle posted a list that identifies which of its ingredients contain GMOs on its website. 12 of the 24 ingredients, including chicken, pork, rice, and tortillas, are labeled with a red "G".

This comes on the heels of Ben and Jerry's announcement to replace all GMO derived components in its ice creams. Also, Whole Foods became the first US retailer to label GMO ingredients.
