Boston schools will be closed on Monday, Mayor Thomas M. Menino announced this afternoon in statement, as the cleanup from the blizzard continues. Four Boston Centers for Youth & Family will be open tomorrow for parents who need a safe place for their child to spend the day.
“Our number one priority today is getting to side streets,” Menino tweeted. “Thank you for patience as we recover from 5th largest storm to ever hit Boston.”
The Mayor added that the city’s parking ban and snow emergency would remain in effect while crews continued to clear streets.
