Boston.com, a digital publication of The Boston Globe, has won three EPPY awards, including Best Entertainment site for the second year in a row, according to the Editor & Publisher online site.
Boston.com, which serves more than 6 million readers every month, won in the following categories:
1) Best Entertainment Website with over 1 million visitors for Boston.com's A&E section. This is the second year in a row Boston.com's entertainment section took first place.
2) Best Crowd Sourcing/Citizen Journalism with 1 million unique monthly visitors and over category for its coverage of the 2012 Boston Marathon.
3) Best Webcast with 1 million unique monthly visitors and over for Boston Sports Live with Chris Gasper webcast.
This year, Boston.com was a finalist in several different categories, including Best Political Blog, Best Community Service, Best Sports Blog, and Best Homepage. The winners were announced at 1:30 p.m. EST on the Editor & Publisher site.
