Editor & Publisher announced today that Boston.com and BostonGlobe.com won a total of four EPpy awards, which honor the best media-affiliated websites.
Boston.com won for Best Entertainment Website and Best Online Advertising/Marketing Campaign for the ICA "The Record" campaign.
BostonGlobe.com won for Best Daily Newspaper and Best Overall Website Design.
“This recognition for Boston.com and BostonGlobe.com is an eloquent and much appreciated statement about the extraordinary accomplishments of our two sites," said Boston Globe editor Martin Baron. "Boston.com continues to demonstrate why it is among the most popular community news and information sites in the country, and the new BostonGlobe.com is clearly at an exciting frontier for news-oriented web sites.”
Boston.com editor Ronald Agrella praised the dedication of the A&E staff, noting it was the second time in three years the section had received the recognition.
“Boston.com was also a finalist in 11 other EPpy Award categories, which I think is a testament to the hard work and creativity of our staff," Agrella said. "I’d like to also congratulate the staff of BostonGlobe.com. The awards recognize their dedication and hard work as well.”
The EPpy Awards, are presented by industry publication Editor & Publisher, to honor the best media-affiliated websites in 43 categories.
