Why is the moon white while the sun is yellow?

First, the sun isn't really all that yellow. The sun emits pretty much equal amounts of the colors of the spectrum, and this is what we normally refer to as white light. If you take a piece of white paper, it still looks white in sunlight. The same goes for clouds, which also reflect sunlight. (Full article: 276 words)
