John F. Kennedy Jr.
The only son of President Kennedy, John F. Kennedy Jr., 38, died July 16, 1999, along with his wife and sister-in-law when the airplane he was piloting crashed less than 10 miles off the coast of Marthas Vineyard. The National Transportation Safety Boards crash report said the probable cause of the crash was the pilots inability to main control during a nighttime descent.
