What helped you following September 11?
Following the attacks on September 11, many have looked to art, in all its forms, for consolation. Did art help comfort you following the attacks? If so, which piece and how did it help?
I have found much comfort in Bruce Springsteens "The Rising" it has a folky quality to it and the words to the songs are thought provoking. Some are sad and some give hope. Also because Bruce was from NJ and his own hometown lost many on 9/11 you know that he is sincere.

Two songs will always remind me of the September 11 tradegy. These songs, to this day remind me of the horrible events, yet comfort me and give me hope in the compassion of mankind. The songs are God Bless America and Superman. I still get tears in my eyes when I hear them and pride in my heart for the strength of our Nation.

The two songs I kept hearing over and over were the Beatles "Yesterday" and "Imagine". They made more sense than ever on that day.
