Children's responses to tragedy may shed light on human anxiety, resiliency
On the morning of Sept. 11, in safe living rooms far from Manhattan, the carnage on television etched itself in the minds of children. A year later, the nightmares and even the memories have subsided; no epidemic of traumatic shock has been reported outside New York.
