NEW YORK — An early-morning shooting in a Bronx apartment building on Mother’s Day left two teens dead and a woman injured, police said.

Police responded to a call early yesterday at 1776 Weeks Ave. in the Tremont section of the Bronx, where they found a 15-year-old male shot in the torso and arm and a 16-year-old girl shot in the chest and arm.

They were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where they were both pronounced dead. Police said a 20-year-old woman was also shot in the arm and hospitalized and listed in stable condition.

Authorities didn’t release names, but neighbors identified the deceased as Marvin Wiggins and Quanisha Wright.

Onlookers said the shooting stemmed from an argument that had taken place during a party Saturday night in a first-floor apartment.

In Oakland, Calif., yesterday, police said two men were killed and four women were hospitalized after at least one gunman opened fire in an unlicensed after-hours nightclub.

Investigators say the shooting took place around 2:45 a.m. yesterday in a warehouse-like building.

Police have not released any names or determined a motive for the shooting.
