For the record

Correction: Because of a reporting error, a story in yesterday's City & Region section about Marine Captain John Maloney from Chicopee, who was killed in Iraq, incorrectly said his brother had flown home from the Middle East on Friday. He returned from Quantico, Va.

Correction: Because of incorrect information provided by the Archdiocese of Boston, an information box accompanying a story on parish closings in Saturday's City & Region section gave the wrong status for St. Mary of the Angels in Roxbury. It is remaining open. Also, because of an editing error, the box had an incorrect number of parishes before reconfiguration. It is 357.

Correction: The Surfing the Net with Kids column on Friday's Comics pages incorrectly said the Korean War ended in 1956. The armistice was signed in 1953.
