FBI seeks public’s help in nationwide search for suspected child predator


The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking the public’s help in tracking down a man known as John Doe 28, who is accused of exploiting and sexually abusing a child.

John Doe 28 is being described as a white male, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with wire-framed glasses and a receding hairline. His whereabouts are unknown and he could be anywhere, according to officials.

According to the FBI, images from the investigation show John Doe 28 and a child inside a residence with a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on the wall. The man can be seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt with a shark logo on the left side. A video of the man first came to the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2012.

KPTV in Oregon reports that John Doe 28 is being sought as part of the FBI’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program.

There are currently no specific details linking the suspect to a particular state or region of the U.S., according to the FBI.
