BARRE, Vt.—A Vermont company that makes components used in electric vehicles is marking a milestone.
On Monday, SB Electronics of Barre is going to hold a ceremony to mark the completion of its new high-volume manufacturing facility.
The plant was built with help of a $9 million federal matching grant from the economic stimulus package last year.
Now SBE will expand its work-making capacitors for hybrid vehicles. Over the next three years the company expects to create about 100 new jobs.
WCAX-TV says the first group of workers moved into the new facility last month.
