Former FBI Director Louis Freeh was seriously injured Monday after his SUV drove off the road in Barnard, VT.
Vermont State Police report Freeh was driving just after 12 p.m. when his GMC Yukon veered off the road and into a mail box and shrub, stopping against a tree. Freeh, 64, was airlifted to a New Hampshire hospital for treatment, according to State Police. NBC News reported Freeh broke his leg in the accident.
Freeh served as FBI Director from 1993 to 2001.
