A foundation for survivors of The Station nightclub fire and families of the victims plans to ask the West Warwick town council tomorrow to seize and turn over the site of the blaze for a memorial. The fire in West Warwick killed 100 people and injured more than 200 in February 2003. The Station Fire Memorial Foundation says the realty company that owns the property promised to hand over the land for a long-planned memorial once fire-related litigation ended. The last lawsuit was settled last summer. The realty company says it made no such promise.
