PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Providence is hosting the city's annual New England Ibero American Film Festival.
The week-long film festival, which begins Saturday, will show feature films, documentaries, shorts and animations that been produced in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.
The festival opens with the film, Strange Things, a documentary about Haiti's 500,000 orphan children. Following the screening, director Alexandria Hammond will take part in a panel discussion.
Screens will be shown at cinemas around the city, including Brown University.
In addition to screenings in Providence, the festival is also showing films at Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
