NH manslaughter case proceeding to superior court
CLAREMONT, N.H.—A judge has ruled that the case of a New Hampshire man accused of running his van over a man and killing him can proceed to trial in superior court.
Forty-seven-year-old David Carrier was arrested and charged with manslaughter for allegedly causing the death of Arthur Desilets in Claremont. Officials say the body of the 45-year-old Desilets was found at his home on April 7.
Both men had known each other for several years. Court documents said both had had prior run-ins with the law, although none involving each other before.
Carrier has been wheelchair-bound since a 2007 car accident. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
