Thermal imaging used to find fire in wall
HANOVER, N.H.—Officials say thermal imaging helped firefighters find a fire in a wall of a Hanover home that had been struck by lightning and filled with smoke.
Hanover Fire Department Captain Jeremy Thibeault said in a statement Saturday that a home on Wren Lane was struck by lightning just before 6 p.m. The family in the home said the house filled with smoke, and they then notified the fire department.
Fire companies arrived to find the smoke-filled home, but no visible fire.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to find the fire in a dining room wall and extinguished the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
