Police: 2 killed in Dalton, NH, shooting
DALTON, N.H.—Police say two men were killed and a third injured in a shooting in the northern New Hampshire town of Dalton.
Shari Souliere says police told her that her brother, Wayne Ainsworth, who lives in the home where the shooting took place, was taken to a hospital where he was in stable condition. She didn't know who else was in the house Thursday afternoon.
The state's sex offender registry lists two offenders at the address, a 54-year-old Wayne Ainsworth and 48-year-old Joseph Besk. Both were convicted of aggravated felonious sexual assault. A story by The Berlin Daily Sun says the two were married in 2010, while Besk was finishing his prison sentence.
Police have not released the names of the victims or other details. But investigators say they believe there is no threat to the public.
