Bail set at $250,000 for NH man in Claremont death
CLAREMONT, N.H.—Bail for a New Hampshire man accused of running his van over a man and killing him has been set at $250,000.
Forty-seven-year-old David Carrier was arrested and charged with manslaughter for allegedly causing the death of Arthur Desilets in Claremont. Officials say the body of the 45-year-old was Desilets was found at his home in Claremont on Saturday.
Both men had known each other for several years. Court documents said both had had prior run-ins with the law, although none involving each other before.
Carrier, who was arraigned Monday, has been wheelchair-bound since a 2007 car accident.
