House approves new NH Senate districts
CONCORD, N.H.—The New Hampshire Senate's redistricting plan received a 253-91 vote of approval in the House.
The House confirmed the Senate's plan Wednesday. The new map shuffles 18 of the 24 district as a result of requests to change districts by citizens in Holderness, Shelburne and Barnstead
Districts are adjusted every 10 years after the census. The goal is for each district to have about 54,600 residents, or as close to that number as possible.
The plan now goes to Gov. John Lynch for final approval.
