NH State Sen. Forsythe not seeking re-election
CONCORD, N.H.—A New Hampshire state senator says he will not seek re-election in November.
Jim Forsythe, a Republican from Strafford, was elected in 2010. He said Wednesday he was resigning for personal reasons. He said wants to provide better for his children.
Forsythe is vice chairman of the Senate's Education Committee and a member of the Transportation Committee. He was an officer in the U.S. Air Force who flew combat support missions in Bosnia, Somalia and Iraq. He is a partner in a small aerospace company and an affiliate professor at the University of New Hampshire, teaching thermodynamics and physics.
