CONCORD, N.H.—Associate Attorney General Richard Head is being tapped to serve as New Hampshire's deputy attorney general.

Gov. John Lynch plans to nominate Head to the post Wednesday at the Executive Council meeting.

Head joined the attorney general's office in 2002. He currently is director of the division of legal counsel. He is responsible for the management of the civil bureau, transportation and construction bureau and charitable trust unit.
