PORTSMOUTH, N.H.—U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis has visited an eco-friendly business park in New Hampshire that will feature the state's largest solar station.
The project, called Regeneration Park, is a former car dealership being renovated to house businesses that have adopted green practices. It is designed to reuse 90 percent of the building material.
During a visit Wednesday, Solis and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter said other businesses need to consider similar investments in green technology.
Portsmouth-based biofuel company Simply Green is doing the work. Founder Andrew Kellar tells WMUR-TV that no petroleum products are being used and no carbon dioxide will be emitted. He said the project received a $750,000 federal grant.
