Occupy Boston protesters were not forced to leave their encampment Friday despite Mayor Thomas M. Menino's warning that if they didn't leave by midnight, city officials would "take further action."
At left, journalist John Dwyer, 44, of Jamaica Plain affixed a flag atop his tent, coined "Camp Meow," at Dewey Square early Friday morning. Dwyer, who comes to Dewey Square three times a week, said that Camp Meow is a pun on Camp Mao (Tse Tung).
