Mary Sullivan was killed Jan. 4, 1964, in her Beacon Hill apartment just three days before her 20th birthday. She was the youngest and the last victim in the case. In a major development, new forensic tests have linked Albert DeSalvo to Sullivan's murder.
In the past relatives of Sullivan had believed she was not killed by DeSalvo, who claimed to be the Strangler. Also in 2001, DNA evidence from Sullivan did not match DeSalvo.
