Alan Anderson gave his wife, Kathy, a kiss and a hug in front of what's left of James Hook & Co. after Friday morning's fire.

The seven-alarm fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. on the Boston waterfront by the Fort Point Channel. No one was reported injured, and there was no indication of how the fire started.
