Boston Common may be next in corporate-sponsored renovations
The Boston Common is no stranger to wear and tear. Traces of the disrepair -- missing bricks, uneven pavement, and cracked concrete -- are scattered throughout the grounds.
But a face lift may be underway.
Boston Common advocates are considering sponsorships from corporations to make repairs and renovations to America's first park, an idea already in effect at Manhattan's Bryant Park.
