A Patrick aide said Paul Buckley (right) was appointed to a $108,964 position as commissioner of the Department of Industrial Accidents based on Buckley's qualifications as a former judge, assistant district attorney, and lawyer, not as a political favor to state Senator Marian Walsh (left).
