QUINCY, Mass.—Authorities say an oil truck driver has been killed after his truck rolled backward and pinned him against a wall at the former Fore River shipyard.

MBTA spokeswoman Lydia Rivera says the accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. Friday when the driver was getting ready to transfer fuel from the truck into a commuter boat. The truck's brakes failed and pinned the 42-year-old man to a wall.

She tells the Patriot Ledger ( http://bit.ly/KxR1i1) a second person who was inside the truck at the time put the vehicle in gear and freed the driver. Quincy police performed CPR on the victim, who was taken to Quincy Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The man's identity was not immediately released. The death remains under investigation.
