Lowell teen dies in crash on I-495
BOXBOROUGH, Mass.—State police say a Lowell teenager has been killed in a car crash on Interstate 495 north in Boxborough.
Authorities say 19-year-old Nancy Kheam suffered fatal injuries when the car she was in struck the guard rail at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. She was in the back seat and not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car and a front seat passenger were belted in and were not injured.
Another back seat passenger who was not wearing a seat belt was taken to a hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
