BOSTON—The Massachusetts Senate has ended another day of debate without resolution on a bill that would license three resort-style casinos and a slots parlor in the state.

Senators debated the bill for about two hours before breaking for the day. They're not scheduled to resume debate until Tuesday. Senate President Therese Murray said a final vote may not occur until Thursday of next week.

During the brief debate, senators rejected a number of amendments to the bill, including a proposal that would have barred the state from issuing a license for the slots parlor.

Senators approved several amendments during two days of debate last week, including a one-year ban on lawmakers working in the gambling industry after leaving office.

The House has already passed its version of the casino bill.
