The Board of Selectmen on Tuesday night will again discuss two shopping plazas that officials and neighbors say are detrimental to their neighborhoods because of high vacancy rates and unkempt conditions. Selectman Dennis Giombetti said at a meeting last month that the owners or representatives of Mt. Wayte Plaza and the Nobscot Shopping Center should attend a selectmen’s meeting to discuss their plans for the plazas, and if they either refuse or provide unsatisfactory answers, the town should pursue taking the properties by eminent domain. Giombetti said the Nobscot Shopping Center’s owners have said they prefer to meet privately with selectmen, while the leasing agent for Mt. Wayte Plaza is willing to attend a public meeting, but is waiting for approval from the plaza’s owner. Tuesday’s meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Building at 150 Concord St. and is broadcast live on local-access cable television and streaming on the Internet at - Megan McKee
