A Lowell man pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges in a 2010 slaying in Lawrence and will be held without bail until a probable cause hearing in June, officials said. Rafael Martinez, 19, was charged with the July 24, 2010, shooting death of Timothy Walker, 20, of Lawrence, Essex district attorney spokesman Steve O’Connell said in a statement. Martinez is accused of approaching Walker’s porch at 375 Lowell St. around 9:30 p.m. and shooting him in the head with a shotgun, O’Connell said. Walker died the next day in Massachusetts General Hospital.
