Holiday observed: Monday.

Retail stores: Open at owner’s discretion.

Liquor stores: Open.

Supermarkets: Open.

Convenience stores: Open.

Taverns, bars: Open.

Banks: Open at banks’ discretion; most open.

Stock market: Open.

Municipal and state offices: Closed.

Federal offices: Open.

Libraries: Closed.

Schools: Closed.

Mail: Post offices open; regular delivery schedule.

MBTA: Blue, Orange, Red, and Green line service on a regular weekday schedule with extra service before and after the Marathon. Bus and trackless trolley service on Saturday schedule. Buses will be rerouted at certain times. Commuter rail, commuter boat, and inner-harbor ferry service on regular weekday schedule. Bicycles not allowed on subway and allowed on commuter rail except for during peak-period trips. THE RIDE will operate on a modified weekday schedule. Copley Station closed all day. Green Line’s Arlington Station entrance on Berkeley Street and both entrances to Hynes Station open. Route 55 Queensbury/Copley Station service terminated until completion of Marathon. Green Line’s Woodland Station along Route 16 in Newton closed to automobile traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. but open for customer use. For more information, call 617-222-3200.
