Plane crash kills pilot, woman on ground

Authorities said a pilot from Massachusetts and a New Hampshire woman on the ground died when a small plane crashed at a recreational vehicle park in North Myrtle Beach. Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the pilot was trying to land the Cessna at an airport Tuesday afternoon when he missed the runway and crashed into an RV. The pilot was identified as Kenneth Thode, 62, of Plymouth, Mass., and the woman in the vehicle as Eva Sullivan, 70, of Sunapee, N.H. Thode was alone in the plane. (AP)
