BOSTON (AP) -- Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner was arrested this morning, according to the FBI.

FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz said Turner was arrested at City Hall on Friday morning. She could not say what charges he faces but said the arrest is connected to the investigation into former state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson.

She said Turner is scheduled for an initial appearance later Friday in federal court in Worcester.

Following Wilkerson's arrest, records related to the investigation were subpoenaed from Turner's office.

The records reportedly dealt with Turner's contacts with other politicians, neighborhood organizers, and businesses, according to WBZ-TV.

Turner told the Jamaica Plain Gazette last week that an undercover FBI agent visited his office in alleged "sting" operation last year.
