Competition for gambling dollars has intensified in New England since Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick unveiled his plans to allow three resort casinos to be built in the state.

Patrick's proposal generated spirited debate in Massachusetts and caused Connecticut's casinos to feel the heat of competition. New Hampshire and Rhode Island are also thinking about expanding gambling in their states too.
