Missing children found safe

An Amber alert was canceled after two children who were reported kidnapped this afternoon from a foster home on Pleasant Street in Marlborough, were found safe.

Police said they found 3-year-old Christian Borey in Malden.

The girl, identified as Grace Trotter, was found at Logan Airport.

Police also said they also arrested the mother of Grace Trotter and her boyfriend in connection with the alleged abduction.

The mother, Kathy Trotter, 37, is a resident of Lynn. Her boyfriend has been idenified as Dennis Piper, 43.

According to details released during a televised press conference late this afternoon the two children were taken from the woman with whom they were living after that woman was reportedly assaulted by Kathy Trotter, who has been identified as Grace's biological mother.

Police said as far as they can determine the two adults and two children left the scene in an SUV that was found a short time later in a parking lot in Marlborough with one of its tires damaged.

Police at 6 p.m. said they were seeking a 1992 white Cadillac Deville bearing the registration number 81VN32.

Police are reported to have searched Kathy Trotter's home in Lynn.

Grace Trotter is described as a white female, about 3 feet, 11 inches, 50 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police expressed concern over her safety.
