Report: Child Killed in Randolph Car Crash

A 3-year-old girl was killed Wednesday evening in a two-car crash on Route 24 in Randolph.

WCVB reported first responders arrived just before 6 p.m. to the scene where a Toyota Corolla and a Chevrolet pickup truck had collided. The unidentified girl, who had been riding in the Toyota, was immediately sent to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She later died from those injuries.

The report also said 20-year-old Phania Michel was driving the car and 35-year-old Jeannecker Vertil was a passenger. Neither was injured. The driver of the truck, 50-year-old Mary Lynch, was hurt, but her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Investigators have not determined a cause yet and are still looking into the crash.
