The missing personnel file of alleged sexual predator William E. Sheehan was found in a box at Foxborough’s Public Safety Building recently, a year and a half after school officials searched futilely to find it.
Privacy laws will prevent its release, according to Foxborough Police Chief Ed O’Leary, even though one of his detectives says the file contains no evidence of any allegations that authorities might have pursued.
Sheehan, 75, is in a Florida nursing home with advanced dementia. The Norfolk district attorney’s office closed the state’s case against the former Foxborough teacher and Boy Scout leader last year, saying he was too ill to be prosecuted.
