A woman charged with killing a 7-year-old girl in Dorchester while driving drunk was ordered held today on $150,000 cash bail after her arraignment in Suffolk Superior Court.
Olivia was allegedly driving drunk and speeding on Olney Street on the afternoon of Nov. 26 when her Chevrolet Tahoe hit a parked car, jumped the curb, hit a fire hydrant — and then struck Brianna Rosales, who was walking with her mother.
Mora walked into the courtroom with a cane today.
As the prosecutor gave a recitation of the government’s case, the girl’s mother, Glendalee Alvarado, who was also seriously injured in the crash, wept in the gallery. Mora also appeared to have tears in her eyes.
Mora, who had been previously charged in District, was indicted in mid-March in Superior Court on indictments charging manslaughter by motor vehicle, motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, operating under the influence causing serious bodily injury, and leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury, Suffolk County prosecutors said.
