Reports of anti-Semitic indidents increased by 21 percent last year in Massachusetts, particularly at schools and college campuses, despite a national decline, according to an annual survey released today by the Anti-Defamation League.
The number of reported incidents in Masschusetts increased from 38 in 2012 to 46 in 2013, over a quarter of which took place in school settings. Those included a Carver middle school student being called a “stinking Jew” by a classmate, and a swastika drawn on the door of a Jewish college student’s dorm room in Boston.
